Singapore Medtech Startup PROTOCOL Closes US$1M Pre-Seed to Reimagine Preventive Healthcare
Singapore, Singapore – April 15, 2026 / PROTOCOL HEALTH PTE. LTD. /
SINGAPORE // PROTOCOL (protocolhealth.sg), a medtech company making preventive and chronic care proactive, personal, and grounded in real clinical data, today announced it has raised US$1 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by DSG Consumer Partners with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners. The capital will be deployed to expand PROTOCOL’s clinical and operations team, accelerate the development of its proprietary health analytics platform, and scale customer acquisition across Singapore.
The Problem: Healthcare Is Reactive by Default
Singapore’s healthcare paradox is stark: the country ranks among the world’s longest-lived populations, yet healthy life expectancy lags nearly a decade behind total lifespan. One in three residents already lives with hypertension or hyperlipidaemia, and chronic disease prevalence is projected to keep climbing as the population ages. The question Singapore is now confronting is not how to add more years to life, but how to add more life to those years.
Despite advances in diagnostics and therapeutics, the vast majority of healthcare remains reactive. Patients engage only after symptoms surface, by which time conditions are often harder and more expensive to treat. Preventive care exists, but it is fragmented: bloodwork from one provider, prescriptions from another, lifestyle guidance from a third. No single entity owns the longitudinal health relationship.
PROTOCOL is built to change that. By combining comprehensive screening, prescription therapies, and coaching into a single integrated care model, the company provides a continuous, data-driven health relationship, not isolated episodes of care.
What PROTOCOL Does
PROTOCOL is rebuilding what a health check-up can be: from a one-time event into an ongoing relationship. Operating as a hybrid care model, PROTOCOL combines a physical clinic at 71 Robinson Road, #01-02, Singapore, with a digital-first platform. The company believes the best outcomes require flexibility: face-to-face consultations when clinical nuance matters, and seamless digital delivery when convenience and speed matter.
Every member gets access to PROTOCOL’s care team: doctors, nutritionists, and health coaches, all fully licensed by the Singapore Medical Council and regulated by the Ministry of Health and Health Sciences Authority. They don’t just run the tests. They explain what the numbers mean, what’s driving them, and what to actually do about it. The bloodwork is the starting point. The relationship is the product. That care relationship is supported by a suite of clinical services:
Core Health Test
Advanced bloodwork panels tracking over 100 biomarkers across metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and organ function categories, with a built-in 6-month re-test to track progress and catch changes early.
GLP-1 Weight Management
Clinician-supervised GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy for medically appropriate patients, integrated with ongoing monitoring and dose optimisation.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
Evidence-based TRT protocols for patients with clinically low testosterone, managed through regular bloodwork and physician oversight.
Targeted Supplementation
Clinically validated probiotic and micronutrient protocols are prescribed based on individual bloodwork findings rather than generic recommendations.
Every service feeds into PROTOCOL’s proprietary health dashboard, currently in beta, which gives members a real-time view of their bloodwork results, trends, and clinical recommendations. New features are being rolled out monthly as the platform evolves toward becoming each member’s central health record.
The Founder’s Story
PROTOCOL was founded by Mehdi Elaichouni, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 17. For years, that meant uncertainty and learning early that feeling “okay” is not the same as being truly healthy.”What changed everything for me was not chasing fixes, but understanding my body better. Through data, doctors, and consistent lifestyle changes in nutrition, sleep, stress, and training, I learned to be proactive rather than reactive. I have been in remission for years now, not by ignoring medicine, but by combining it with clarity and responsibility. That experience shaped PROTOCOL. We believe health should be proactive, personal, and grounded in real data, guided by doctors and coaches who take the time to explain what actually matters. Not fear-driven. Not trend-driven. Just clear, responsible care that helps people stay healthier for longer.”
Mehdi Elaichouni, Founder & CEO, PROTOCOL
Prior to founding PROTOCOL, Mehdi spent 12 years leading marketing strategy at global firms, including WPP, Omnicom, and Publicis, where he advised Fortune 500 companies and government clients across Asia-Pacific. He also founded Carpe Diem, a group of top-ranked martial arts studios in Singapore and home to Asia’s #1 Jiu-Jitsu
team.
Investor Perspective
“What sets PROTOCOL apart is Mehdi’s conviction that health outcomes require more than an app. By integrating screening, prescription, and coaching under one roof, both physical and digital, PROTOCOL is building the kind of trusted, recurring health relationship that retains members for life. We see strong parallels to the consumer subscription models we have backed across Asia, and Mehdi brings the rare combination of brand-building expertise and personal mission that the best founders have.”

Use of Proceeds
The pre-seed funding will be allocated across three priorities: expanding the clinical and operations team to support growing member demand, accelerating development of PROTOCOL’s proprietary health dashboard and analytics platform, with new features launching monthly, and scaling customer acquisition to establish PROTOCOL as Singapore’s leading hybrid preventive care provider.
